What about latex foam?
There are two types of latex foam. Natural latex from the rubber tree, and synthetic latex.
Talalay is considered the finest open-cell process used in the making of latex, using environmentally friendly renewable resources and water based materials (natural latex, air, and water). Latex made with this process provides the sleep industry with the most consistent, breathable, and resilient comfort material in the world.
- Latex foam instantly conforms to each unique contour of your body, for exceptional orthopedic spinal support and pressure relief
- Latex provides 33% more pressure relief and contouring support than memory foam. This relief of pressure reduces tossing, turning and motion transfer, and brings more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, so you wake feeling recharged and renewed.
- Latex foam is not heat sensitive, thereby providing a cool and comfortable product to sleep on.
- Latex foam’s resiliency means no flipping or rotating necessary, and no sagging in the mattress center. This resiliency also makes for a longer shelf life, often exceeding 15 years.
- Talalay latex is 4 times more breathable than polyurethane, memory foam or Dunlop latex
- Talalay latex is ideal for allergy sufferers. It’s naturally hypo-allergenic, dust mite resistant, and antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew, with no artificial materials added to provide these benefits.
